Finished another vBulletin 4 template for a client
I am very happy how this template turned out.

Our most popular template Darkness has been updated for vBulletin 4 as well as BP-Brown which is a basic version of Darkness.

BP-Brown for vBulletin 4
Spent a bit of last night and most of this morning updating my vBulletin templates to vBulletin 4 and must admit I am having a ball!!!
The new stylevars system was a bit daunting at first but i am finally getting used to it and preferring the new template system over the older vb3 version.

Last few weeks i have been working very hard to complete my own site www.bluepearl-design.com.
I am very happy with the results so far and only have 2 pages to complete. These are the blog and forum pages which i plan to add RRS feeds too within the flash.
I decided to keep the site layout and content simple as possible using more images than text.
This site was created in flash which i find myself using more and more lately.

Last few months i have been working with my client Romel to finish a paparazzi site, www.paparazzibyromel.com
Spiel:
Do you read gossip magazines, watch the most recent shows and and follow the latest trends in fashion? Or have you ever wondered what it would be like to be famous?
Then Paparazzi might just be what you are looking for.
Imagine being picked up in a beautiful stretch limousine, with chilled French champagne and strawberries waiting for you inside. The driver takes you to your favourite nightclub or restaurant, and as you arrive, you notice a group gathering. Is it for you?
As you exit the limo, you are swamped by Paparazzi wanting to take your photo. They want to get to know you, and start yelling your name and ask you questions for the latest updates to put in their gossip columns. You are part of the moment, that special moment.
Already smashing it in the states – Paparazzi is now the first unique experience of its kind in Australia.
This lifestyle is yours for the taking!
This site is coded in XHTML/CSS and Adobe Flash with Actionscript 3

After alot of research i have decided to remove vbseo from the Bluepearl Design forums and update to vBulletin 4. The process went perfectly without any problems.
To be honest I am really only interested in URL rewrites, and in the last few years I have found VBSEO to be bloated and support lacking.
For anybody else interested in uninstalling VBSEO I have found this good post
Yesterday my new ATI HD5850 XFX arrived and i love it.
So far i have played every game i play COD4, Need for Speed Shift, Street Fighter IV and Fallout 3 maxed details and resolution at 1920×1200 with very high FPS. Never drops below 80FPS.
I am glad i decided to go with the 5850 instead of the 5870 or the new 5970 as these cards are proberly overkill right now with no DX11 games out.

Radeon 5850 XFX
Today i spent most of the day transferring my computer hardware from my Thermaltake JR case to my new Antec twelve hundred case.
This new case is awesome and gives me alot more space, i had to change cases because my graphics card i am getting in december/january is very long and would be hitting the HDD bays in the old case. Plus the air flow in this case has dropped my idle computer temperature by 6-7 degrees. Have not tested the temperature on full load yet.
Another great feature on this case is the fan controls on the side and back of the case, but when all set to high it is like having an aeroplane in my loungeroom!!
The power supply is also located at the bottom of the case which made cable management so much easier.
Unfortunately i was unable to add the side fan to the case door as the CPU cooler was in the way…
New: updated 30 October 2009
I have finally finished my new system update.
I Currently have my i7 CPU overclocked to 3.8ghz which is a 40% Overclock. The i7 920 stock speed is 2.67Ghz.

I tried getting to 4.0Ghz but my computer would not even post, and i did not feel comfortable changing the vcore any higher, i think i would need liquidcooling to overclock anymore.
Current temperatures are 36-38 idle and 65-70 on 100% high load, using photoshop, flash and some other applications at the same time i get average of 55 degrees.

Currently running one ATI radeon 5870, in january i will purchase another one to run them in crosfire, but it may be tad bit overkill atm..

Thermaltake jr and Antec 1200

The Antec 1200 empty

Motherboard inside the Antec 1200 and thermal paste removed

I love the dust covers on the HDD sections

Great feature of this board is running the cables behind the motherboard

Noctua NH-U12P fan cooler inside the Antec 1200

fans added to the NH-U12P alot more space than in the old case

Antec 1200 first run

Antec 1200 nice and blue, i have another fan which is added inside the case which blows the cold air inside the CPU fan and out the back exhaust fan

The internal fan does a great job of pushing the air from the first fan on the front of the case

HDD fans are also great

Antec 1200 powered up

Love this new card
Today i decided to wait until early next year to put liquid cooling in my computer. Instead i bought a new NH-U12P cooling fan to replace the stock CPU fan to keep my overclocked temperatures as low as possible.

Standard CPU cooler which comes with the Intel i7 920

CPU fan removed exposing the CPU

Stock fan and Noctua NH-U12P side by side

Noctua NH-U12P without the fans

Noctua fan angled to make sure the hot air is pushed out the back

Noctua NH-U12P

Noctua NH-U12P with the 2 fans attached

Noctua NH-U12P the first fan sucks in the air, the one at the back pushes the air out to the exhaust fan

Noctua NH-U12P with the sidebar fan attached

Noctua NH-U12P in the case, overclocked to 3.2mhz, idle 41 degrees and high load 65 degrees.
