My new NH-U12P CPU cooler photos
Today i decided to wait until early next year to put liquid cooling in my computer. Instead i bought a new NH-U12P cooling fan to replace the stock CPU fan to keep my overclocked temperatures as low as possible.

Noctua NH-U12P in the case, overclocked to 3.2mhz, idle 41 degrees and high load 65 degrees.

I always thought the idea of “liquid” cooling the internals of a computer was a crazy idea. I can see now that “crazy” is not limited to liquid cooling.

After today it seems summer is now upon us, going to need as much help as possible to keep the CPU overclocked to 3.2, if it gets too hot i will drop it back to the default 2.6mhz

That cooling tower looks like one of the office building here….you sure the mb will be able to keep it upright

I wondered the same thing when i lifted the case after the install. Because the whole thing is pretty heavy!!
But it was ok, because the fan has a back plate which goes on the back of the motherboard which is then bolted together with the fan.
Was abit of a pain to completely remove the motherboard, but the low temperatures i am now seeing is completely worth it.

Just ordered the a new Antec 1200 to replace this case, will post new pictures tomorrow
